I love going into New York City to see Broadway shows. I have been to Wicked and Spiderman: Turn off the Dark through Adelphi’s PantherTainment booth, which has inexpensive tickets, great seats for the shows and free bus rides to and from campus.

The Adelphi campus is absolutely gorgeous with all the different plants and artwork. And the small class sizes at Adelphi make for a great learning environment. I have great relationships with my fellow communications majors and my professors. Plus, I have a lot of access to equipment that is vital for hands-on learning.

Being so close to New York City has given me great opportunities for internships, including at ABC News last spring! I worked for ABC NewsOne Sports. I had the opportunity to edit daily press conferences, interview athletic stars, and even conduct interviews with football players at the 2013 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall. Before that, I had interned at Public Access Television through Adelphi’s Community Fellows Program (which offers paid summer internships at nonprofit organizations). I am currently interning at ABC-TV’s The View, assisting producers and helping with various talents such as music star Ne-Yo.
